The London South Bank University Racing Team has successfully debuted in the Formula Student Championship at Silverstone in 2022 and is currently hard at work on the upcoming 4th generation car for 2025.
2022
2022
SBR entered their first ever car into the competition. The team with no previous experience went through many struggles to design and build a car from the ground up, but still managed to succeed. SBR was one of 17 cars to pass scrutineering and compete in endurance, which was a huge accomplishment for their first ever year.
2023
2023
SBR built upon the lessons learned from 2022 and improved the team and the car from every possible aspect. The team grew and managed to secure many new sponsors which provided valuable help, products, and services. In addition, SBR was one of very few teams to win the IMechE financial award.
2024
SBR harnessed the invaluable lessons from the previous year, implementing groundbreaking upgrades that propelled the car to new heights. After overcoming numerous challenges, SBR achieved a remarkable feat by passing Technical Scrutineering for the second time in just three years. Winning the IMechE financial award twice in a row highlights commitment to excellence. With these improvements, SBR is ready to make a strong impact in the upcoming season.
